Understand your ForestVPN plan, manage your subscription, read invoices, and cancel any time.

This guide covers how ForestVPN billing works: choosing a plan, reading your invoices, updating payment details, and cancelling whenever you like.

Plans

ForestVPN has a free tier and paid plans. For the current prices and exactly what each tier includes, see the pricing page — it always shows the live catalogue, so this guide describes what changes between tiers rather than naming a number.

  • Personal is free forever: a couple of devices, a monthly data allowance, a handful of locations, the kill switch, and automatic mesh DNS.
  • Standard raises your device limit and lifts the data and location caps, and adds ad and malware blocking plus DNS filtering.
  • Premium adds multi-hop routing, a dedicated IP, shared exit locations, and the Post-Quantum Cipher Suite — a hybrid key exchange that protects recorded traffic against future quantum attacks.
  • Enterprise adds single sign-on, device management, and residency and audit controls for teams.

When you upgrade, the change takes effect immediately and your next invoice is prorated. When you move to a lower tier, the change applies at the start of your next billing period.

Manage your subscription

From the dashboard, open Billing to:

  • See your current plan and renewal date.
  • Update your payment method.
  • Switch plans or change how often you're billed.

Invoices

Every charge produces an invoice you can view and download from the Billing page. Each invoice lists your plan, the period it covers, any tax that applies, and the payment method used.

Receipts and tax details

Invoices double as receipts. If you need a tax ID or company name on them, add your billing details before your next renewal and they'll appear on future invoices.

Cancel any time

You can cancel from the Billing page. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep everything until the end of the period you've already paid for, then your account drops to the free tier. Nothing is deleted; your devices and VSpaces stay, within the free-tier limits.
